Swallows and Amazons forever!
The damp Picnic Cinema evening at Brantwood was worth persevering with. The band was great and the audience settled down in true Swallows & Amazons style to make the most of things regardless of the weather.
Swallow was there to watch herself on the screen and Rob laid out a fine campsite scene. There was a Pirate and a Campsite quiz and plenty of skull & cross bones to be seen.
Peggy’s knife even came in handy for opening a bottle of grog.

And they’re off!
Racing from Lisbon to Cadiz, expected to arrive on Thursday, you can see the tracker of the race on the Tall Ships site. Ocean Spirit is in Class C.
Owen paid for his trip by selling Plus-Mugs at school.

Have a look at the promo for Les Tonnerres – looks amazing
Mmmm sounds like a “wild salmon” quote if ever there was one.

Been following her online with the Marine Traffic tracker. Click on the “last position” link and you can find out where she is. Glad to see her safe & sound after the trip down from Oban.
The tracker shows up all the fast ferries and tankers and things as well – the overnight sails must have been like walking along Blackpool pier.
We didn’t mean to …
When we first found Treize for sale on the Tamar I found this mug when I rummaged through the cupboards. It felt like we were in the right place some how. We brought them home last week when we went down to see her in St Just. Julian, Hugh and Joe have been doing a grand job with her. All being well she will be in the water next year and perhaps we should celebrate with a brew up in these mugs. Don’t know which owner bought them but they’ll do fine for us.
